ABOUT ME

I’m a psychodynamic and humanistic therapist and counsellor, pedagog, manual therapist, and aromatherapist. I graduated from Jagiellonian University (Master’s Degree in Pedagogy), earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling, and a Certificate in Humanistic Counselling at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Psychodynamic counselling shares the same core principles as psychodynamic therapy, but this process tends to be brief and solution-focused (6–30 sessions). As a psychodynamic counsellor, I am an active advocate of change rather than a neutral observer. I work with a wide range of problems, my specialties being relationship issues, cross-cultural differences, and working with addictions. Thanks to my professional and life experience, which involves years of travelling and both awareness and experience in working with cultural diversity, I can provide emotional support to both children and adults. My training is mainly in the psychodynamic approach, but I have developed my own eclectic style of therapy. Recently, especially since I moved to multicultural Israel, my main focus has been on problems related to cultural differences and difficulties in adapting to a new environment. I have also developed a strong interest in relationship issues and can provide effective emotional support in this delicate area of our lives.

I have lived and worked in many different locations (both Europe and Asia), and I have gained experience with various cultures and quite a few professional fields, some of them far from what I was formally trained in. My life experience has led me to strongly believe that we can learn and achieve anything we want if we maintain psychological balance, gain access to our own potential and power, and synchronize mind and heart to be truly sure what we want in life. Learning cross-cultural communication, working with cultural diversity, and conducting therapeutic processes in other languages (e.g., English or Hebrew) have given me a healthy distance from the way we experience life and the ability to see more clearly how our choices are determined by factors not so obvious at first glance.

My passion for exploring the world—nature, architecture, and art—as well as meeting people and cultures, has manifested itself in rich life experience. A strong attraction to natural aromas and a passion for the world of plants resulted in combining this knowledge with my therapeutic background, which led to a new direction in life: working with essential oils and their therapeutic properties in the branch of holistic medicine called aromatherapy. I am the founder of a natural cosmetics brand, and I have designed and introduced to the European market unique, original recipes of organic health and beauty products based on aromatherapy.

While working with children from problematic backgrounds using many therapeutic methods (Gestalt, working with metaphor), my awareness grew of how important it is to develop a strong, happy, and independent mind capable of making its own choices from an early age. Performing many forms of manual therapy and being in very close contact with my clients made me increasingly conscious of how much people need to develop the ability to be more in contact with themselves and to start to respect, like, and love themselves in order to live a happy, fulfilled life. Buddhist practice constantly gives me the ability to go through life with joy, strength, and courage, as well as to help others do the same. I would like to pass on my life experience, skills, methods, idealism, and passion for life to others.
